Nose
Classic Margaret River Cabernet. Blackcurrant, violets and sandalwood
with polished cherry and herb influences.
Palate
Beautifully savoury and textural. Supple black cherry and blood currant
flavours are wrapped in silken fruited tannins with minimal oak influence.
Growing Conditions
Excellent winter rainfall provided a great start to the
growing season followed by a warm spring with very little rain. December and
January had a few intermittent showers but overall characteristic warm days and
cool nights. Cabernets showed fully ripe tannins, perfumed fruit and savoury
mouthfeel.
Harvest
March 2013.
Winemaking
This wine was 100% matured in a mixture of new and old French
Oak Barriques for 16 months.
Appearance
Deep ruby hues.
