Nose
The wine has good aromatic intensity and displays dark fruit, maraschino cherry, raspberry and cocoa powder aromas with hints of star anise, violets, char and vanilla.
Palate
The palate is powerful, rich and inky with concentrated fruit and displays mulberry, cherry cola, coffee and dark chocolate characters supported by a distinctive savoury thread that makes one think of charcuterie. Quality oak and abundant, slightly grainy tannins give the wine great structure and mouthfeel while the fruit flavour is persistent, sweet and juicy.
