Nose
A fruity aroma displaying strawberry, cranberry and cherry characters with hints of stalk, forest floor, fruit mince, candy and roses.
Palate
The strawberry and cranberry flavours carry on to the palate and combine with ripe cherry, rhubarb and hints of confectionary, fruit paste and spice. It’s a light to medium bodied wine that is generous in flavour, with subtle oak, soft acidity and attractive chalky tannin.
Growing Conditions
A long cold winter was followed by a mild spring and very cool and wet summer. Whilst this presented some challenges for other varieties it was excellent for Pinot Noir which favours cool growing conditions.
Harvest
Hand picked
Winemaking
Matured in stainless steel to maintain fruit vibrancy and bottled early to retain freshness.
