Nose
A complex aroma of red currant, black currant, forest floor, blackberry and violets with hints of tomato leaf, choc mint, liquor cherry and cedary oak.
Palate
The wine displays a lovely balance between fruit and tannin with both vying for dominance yet neither succeeding. The flavours are distinctly red fruit and cassis with hints of sour cherry, green plum and mocha. The tannins are quite chalky and provide a classic structure and some attractive grip to the long briary finish.
