Nose

The super-premium fruit and 14 months in French oak barriques has created a complex interplay of fruit and mineral elements with a nose layered in luscious peaches and citrus fruit aromas, blending seamlessly with buttered toast, fruitwood smoke and liquorice.

Palate

The palete is layered with stone fruit, quince and exotic tropical fruits, with a beguiling sherbet-like citrus line, tight knit minerality and exuberant, tangy after-taste.

Winemaking

The super-premium, low-yield fruit was harvested in the early morning and processed at its coolest to maintain freshness and minimize oxidization. It has then been barrel fermented and left for 14 months in a mix of new and 1 and 2 year old French oak barriques to slowly develop the fruit flavours and complexity inherent in the exceptional fruit. This has created a wine with a sublime balance between the oak and sustained acid, with a wonderfully textural mouth feel.

Appearance

A gorgeous light straw colour.
