Palate

A seductive note of strawberry and cherry cola gives way to a spiced mid-palate, finishing with lingering fine tannins. The mouth-feel and balance are both good.

Winemaking

Hand crafted techniques saw this Estate fruit hand picked, then open fermenter cold soaked and hand plunged with a batch of whole bunch maceration.“Estate-grown, hand-picked, cold-soaked, open-fermented and hand-plunged. The colour is good, and the wine, while not exactly bursting forth in pinot-ish exuberance does show some varietal character courtesy of red cherry and a hint of strawberry; the mouth-feel and balance are both good.Has enough to suggest a couple of years in the bottle might give the fruit a chance to further express itself.”
