Voyager EstateVerified Organization

A brief history

Established in 1978, Voyager Estate is a second-generation family-owned estate in Stevens Valley, Margaret River, Western Australia.

Our ultimate ambition couldn’t be simpler – to craft wines that do justice to our extraordinary climate and soils through some of the most pure, elegant, and balanced Chardonnays and Cabernet Sauvignons in the world.

Commencing in 2023, both our winery and vineyard proudly bear full organic certification. Our journey towards this achievement commenced in 2017, with the inaugural harvest of certified organic grapes in 2020.

Through our continued focus on sustainability, craft, and innovation, we aim to shine a light on Margaret River – one of the world’s great wine regions – and our special place in it.

Alex took over the management of the Estate in 2005 and became the sole proprietor of Voyager in 2018. Her vision is to guide the wine growing and making process in a sustainable way from start to finish with minimal intervention, to craft wines that are the purest expression of our place.

Alex is Co-Founder and Proprietor of The Landsmith Collection including storied NT cattle station Bullo River Station, and other projects in development. All are guided by Alex’s philosophy of finding places she loves, then sustaining and nurturing them for generations to come.
