It has a rich bouquet combining blackcurrant and capsicum aromas.


The palate is medium to full-bodied with cassis and blueberry flavours and cedary oak. The dusty tannins and finely balanced acidity not only give the wine great structure and palate length but also provide a cellaring potential of 8 to 10 years.


Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes used in this blend were picked on the estate on March 5 and February 27, 2014, at a Baumé of 14.2° and 12.55° respectively. They were both plunged in open fermenters for several days, followed by several more in stainless steel tanks for malolactic fermentation. French oak barriques were used for their maturation over a nineteen month period and then, after blending 70%:30% 590 cases were bottled in December 2015.
