Nose

Red and black currants, red cherry, plum, vanilla bean and mulberry notes are all evident on the intensely fragrant bouquet

Palate

Medium to full bodied showing rich juicy fruit
flavours complemented by appealing hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, and chocmint. Finely balanced tannins drive the long, flavoursome finish

Harvest

The fruit was picked between 13.0 Be° to 13.8 Be° off the Karridale vineyard which is farmed sustainably

Bottling

The wine was bottled on 16th February 2018

Winemaking

The ferment took place in a mix of hand plunged and pump overs ranging, from 10 to 21 days on skins depending on the variety.

Aging

The wine was matured for 16 months in French oak barriques of which a quarter were new

Appearance

Limpid deep red with a purple hue
