Nose
The bouquet is of mandarin & lime, with a subtle chalky character in the background
Palate
While the Verdejo makes up only 30% of the blend, it is the star of the show, bringing orange citrus aromatics & flavours, plus a gorgeous fruit texture. Fiano supplies zippy acidity with a savoury twist. The wine underwent skin contact during fermentation which has built complexity & structure into the wine
Growing Conditions
A wet winter & spring impacted fruit set, leading to reduced yields. Yet, 2022 was an outstanding vintage. Warm, dry conditions in summer & autumn provided exceptional growing & ripening conditions. Bird pressure was greatly reduced due to strong flowering of native flora. Remarkable quality
Harvest
Verdejo & Sauvignon Blanc were both picked from single blocks on 9th March with Fiano being harvested from a single block on 25th March 2022

Bottled on 7th November 2022
Winemaking
The Verdejo was wild fermented on skins for 5 days to add both complexity & phenolic structure, & also to showcase the unique expression of fruit. Pressed to tank, briefly settled, & racked to barrel to finish fermentation. Matured for 5 months in neutral, large format French oak. Vegan friendly. Unfined.
