Palate
A little time in the glass, however, reveals a sweetness and complexity of berry fruit flavours and subtle undertones of French oak. The wine has firm structure and the tannins, although silky smooth, are evident in just the right degree.
Winemaking
The elegance of Cabernet Sauvignon fruit flavour for which Margaret River is renowned demands that the wine should be enjoyed within 5 to 6 years of vintage date. Connoisseurs will appreciate the complexity that will develop with a further 5 years of bottle age, however the additional time in the bottle will soak up much of the sweetness and vitality of the young fruit.
Appearance
Richly coloured, with the purplish tinge that characterises young Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine is quite slow to come forward.
