Harvest

The 2019 vintage in Margaret River was milder than average. High bird pressure and humidity were mitigated through careful crop management and the early application of bird netting. The cooler season lengthened the ripening of grapes, giving us picking windows for optimal grape development. This favoured the intensity of flavour and aroma profiles of the finished wine.

Winemaking

The Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon are sourced from a small block on our single site vineyard. Both varieties are hand picked and hand sorted into a fermentation tank where they are co-fermented. Once pressed off, the wine is aged in a combination of American and French oak barriques for 18 months. The best barrels were then selected, blended, filtered and bottled in November 2020.
