Nose

A rich and powerful nose of ripe fig & nectarine, white flowers, seaspray and toasted nuts with hints of wood smoke and flinty char.

Palate

A palate of depth and power - fleshy stone fruits, grapefruit, struck-match and toast balanced by textural phenolic drive and complexity. Refreshed by a briney, grapefruit acid line and framed by subtle oak char – gunsmoke, bacon, hazelnut.

Winemaking

Fruit was handpicked and whole-bunch pressed straight to barrel with full solids for natural ferment by wild yeast. Partial malolactic fermentation and judicious lees stirring during maturation built palate weight, texture and complexity. Blended via barrel selection, the wine was then heat and cold stabilised with minimal fining and filtered prior to bottling end of 2018.

Pale, golden straw with bright green tints.
