Nose
An attractive aroma of gooseberry, lychee, lemon skin and pastry with hints of gun smoke, grass, yoghurt and honeysuckle.
Palate
This is a rich, textural, complex wine style. It is intensely flavoured with grapefruit, gooseberry, quince and citrus with notes of passion fruit, lemon tart and restrained oak. The mouthfeel is chalky with persistent zesty acidity and notable minerality.
Growing Conditions
An unusual spring cold snap, strong winds at flowering and a warm summer produced an atypical year with very low yields
