Jumping out of the glass – spiced clove oranges with apricots, bayleaf and nashi pear.
Soft, round, inviting palate. Like a comfortable familiar jumper. Apricots, with pepper and cloves sit alongside slightly more taught fruit flavours – think orange blossom, lime zest and lemon meringue to give the wine structure and length. A sprinkling of white pepper on the finish.
All fruit comes from our Lenton Brae vineyard.
For this non-technical wine, slow and cool fermentation ensured retention of aromatics.
