Nose
Lovely red fruit, floral notes with hints of dried herbs on the nose.
Palate
On the palate, the wine is light on its feet, pretty and elegant with fine powdery tannins giving length and texture.
Growing Conditions
Wet spring and combination of rain events and warm temperature during summer made for long ripening in 2021. The humidity levels created challenging conditions for some areas in the region. However, good draining and ventilated sites benefited from the slow maturation and provided fruit with good flavour and fine tannins in red varieties.
Harvest
Fruit for this wine was select harvested from our small estate vineyard of the Rosabrook property.Selective harvest whole berry pick, open fermenter partial carbonic fermentation, natural ferment, matured 6 months in seasoned French oak barriques. Unfined, unfiltered and vegan.
