Palate

The palate does not hold back, deep, spicy potpourri and abundant tannins will see many years reward.

Growing Conditions

A warm start to the vintage was moderated by later rains that cooled the region considerably and saw a vintage of fine and consistent quality fruit.

Harvest

Lyre trellis and hand-picked, thirty year old vines.

Winemaking

Conventionally fermented and transferred to about 10% new American Oak and matured for twelve months.

Appearance

Deep purple in colour.
