Nose

Fresh with good intensity.

Palate

Smooth and mellow with lovely mouth feel. Medium bodied with restrained tannins.

Growing Conditions

A cooler year compared with the previous two vintages. This wine represents a cuvee from five different parcels. These different locations have a range in altitude from 85-130m and a range of soil types which contribute a variety of flavours to the wines.

Winemaking

The fermentation was in a combination of open and closed static tanks and was completed in the tank before being pressed off skins at dryness after eight to ten days of skin contact. The wine was then matured for 10 months in about one third new French oak from the forests of Allier, Nevers and the Centre of France.

Appearance

Medium plum with magenta notes.
