Growing Conditions

2018 was an almost perfect season for growing grapes in the
Margaret River region and we feel this is reflection our new release
Aravina Rose’

Winemaking

The polyclonal Tempranillo component spent 20
hours “on skins” to extract just enough color and flavor that we want
from the backbone of the blend. The juice was fermented in old
French oak barrels and resulted in a savory yet fruitful component.
The Shiraz parcel was selected from 5 rows within the E block
BVRC12 clone planting, spending 12 hours on skins to provide the
spicy and fleshy component to the blend and fermented at cool
temperatures in stainless steel tanks. This year we completed the
Rose’ with 5% of our barrel fermented Semillon, providing citrus lift
and zesty acid. All 3 components were blended, fined using organic
products and the wine was bottled early to capture the essence of
this great Estate.

Appearance
