The 2020 vintage in Margaret River was one of the best the region has seen in many years. With lower rainfall and higher than average temperatures, it allowed for a perfect growing season. No early bird pressure and precision crop management gave the fruit optimal opportunity to achieve flavour ripeness. Having the great growing season can be seen in the fruit profiles that these wines display.

Winemaking

Coming from our small Merlot block located on our single site vineyard, this is a perfect example of how Merlot can stand alone. Being hand harvested and processed over the sorting table where any impurities are discarded, allows for the fruit to shine. Spending 18 months in a mixture of new and older French barriuqes, silky smooth tannins and great flavour integration are displayed.
