Nose

Regional cassis, mulberries and black plums with hints of dried bay leaf
and sandalwood.

Palate

Generously structured, plush and focused. Fine velvety tannins frame
an impressive core of dark cassis, red currant and ironstone and a fine
persistent finish.

Growing Conditions

A cool, wet and windy spring led into a consistently
warm and dry late summer. Cabernet grapes at picking retained vibrant
acidity and fresh aromatics with lovely fruited tannins and classic blackcurrant
concentration.

Harvest

March 2013.

Winemaking

18 months in 40% new French oak barriques and 60% in one
and two year old French oak barriques.

Appearance

Vibrant ruby/purple.
