Nose

Aromatic nose of blackberry, mulberry, plum with complexing notes of aniseed, cocoa, vanilla bean and cracked pepper spice.

Palate

An array of fruit sweetness through the front and mid-palates balanced by hints of bacon, charcuterie, roasting herbs & pepper spice. Smooth, savoury tannins tame the fruit explosion and add delicacy and length

Winemaking

15 months maturation in a combination of new (~25%) and seasoned French oak barriques.

Aging

Tannins are sufficiently soft and pliable to drink now, but will continue to evolve over the next 6-8 years.

Appearance

Dark garnet red.

Steak frites with bearnaise sauce.
