Nose
A blend of freshly cut stone fruit, white peach and nectarine, drizzled
with lemon. Layered with subtle oak and spice, providing depth and
complexity.
Palate
Generous fruit with elegant structure. Grapefruit pith, minerality and
creamy nougat all combine to create a layered and balanced wine with
exceptional length of flavour.
Growing Conditions
2014 was a year of records. Following a record winter
rainfall there was a delayed start to spring with strong early winds. This
affected some of the earlier varieties on exposed sites. With good soil profiles
and some warm weather, the vines finally took off with exceptional growth in
the early months. A record summer dry spell ensured very little disease in the
latter half of the growing season.
Harvest
March 2014.
Winemaking
Seasoned in French oak barriques.
Appearance
Pale white.
