Growing Conditions
Average rains over winter & spring with cool cloudy conditions. Summer was warm with no heat spikes & was very dry, perfect for berry development. A particularly strong vintage for Chardonnay

85.5% Gingin clone, 13.5% Clone 95 & 1% Clone 76, 82% hand-picked from our Karridale property (1997 plantings) & remainder from our Wilyabrup property (1984 plantings)

Winemaking
Whole bunch pressed straight to barrel undergoing a wild yeast fermentation, with some early lees stirring in the first two months.
Aging
The wine was aged for nine months in French oak barriques, of which 30% were new, the remainder, one-, two- & three-year-old.
