Nose
Text book Devils Lair Chardonnay. Very expressive and layered with
lemon meringue, pink grapefruit and subtle vanilla nougat.
Palate
Fine depth and richness of melon and pear with a chalky textural
persistence and natural acid vibrancy.
Growing Conditions
Margaret River again experienced another strong
vintage. Cool, yet sunny and mild with ocean breeze typified the growing
season. Chardonnay grapes showed truly exceptional bright stone fruit
flavours, natural vibrant acidity and soft fine phenolics.
Harvest
March 2014.
Winemaking
9 months in 40% new French Oak barriques and 60% in one
and two year old French oak barriques.
Appearance
Pale straw green.
