Nose
The bouquet shows fruit characters of pear, green apple and lime, which combine with more complex characters of straw, wax and smoky oak.
Palate
The palate is smooth and noticeably textural showing fleshy pear and ripe citrus flavours, with balanced weight and structure.
Harvest
Hand-picked on 21st February 2013 at a Baumé of 11.8 Be°, and a yield of 6.0 t/Ha
Winemaking
Whole-bunch pressed straight to barrel. Half of the juice was inoculated with a commercial yeast, the other half underwent a natural fermentation
Aging
The wine spent ten months in French barriques of which a third were new
Appearance
Pale straw, with flashes of gold
