Bright & fresh aromas of guava, pink grapefruit, gooseberry & hints of coastal herbs & white flowers
Palate
The palate is crisp & refreshing with a talcy texture & juicy acidity, lemon pith, gooseberry & a hint of lemongrass that lingers on the palate
Growing Conditions
2024 started early, was both dry & warm, yet the whites exceeded expectations with their precision, freshness, & natural acidity. Bird pressure was greatly reduced due to strong & prolonged flowering of the native Marri blossom
Harvest
The Semillon was picked on 2nd & 7th February, the Sauvignon Blanc was picked on 9th February 2024. The Semillon comes principally from block 7 on our Metricup vineyard whilst the Sauvignon Blanc was taken from blocks 6 & 8 on our Karridale site to the south. Both vineyards (& the winery) are certified under the audited Sustainable Winegrowing Australia initiative
Bottling
Bottled February 2025
Winemaking
A blend of Semillon (55%) & Sauvignon Blanc (45%). 100% cool fermented in stainless steel tanks to retain freshness and aromatics. Kept on fine lees for 9 months to build texture.
