Nose

Clean & fragrant with intense black fruits, bay leaf & a hint of violets

Palate

Medium to full-bodied & awash with juicy blackcurrant pastille & dark fruit characters; fresh, balanced acidity; ripe, fine tannins & a persistent, satisfying finish

Growing Conditions

2019 was cooler & later than recent vintages but with no extremes of heat. The red varieties enjoyed long hang time to achieve optimum ripeness. Yields were lower but quality was consistent

Harvest

The fruit was sourced from both of our Wilyabrup vineyards & our Karridale vineyard, all of which are sustainably farmed following organic practices

Bottling

The wine was bottled on 29th January 2021

Winemaking

All the varieties were fermented separately in a mix of open & closed fermenters, & spent between eight to 21 days on skins. Further aging in oak in separate batches took place until blending.

Aging

Aged for a minimum of 12 months in barrel (12% new French)

Bright crimson purple
