Nose
A nose that shows ripe blackcurrant, blackberry,
plum and cherry fruits mix seamlessly with characters of sage, black olive, licorice and mocha vanillin oak
Palate
The palate is generous and silky smooth with controlled concentration of fruit flavours, super-fine chalky tannins ensuring palate length and aging longevity, along with
refreshing raspberry acidity.
Growing Conditions
The 2011 vintage had a quite warm summer & autumn producing Cabernet Sauvignon with generous ripe fruit flavours and plush tannins, making for a more approachable wine in its youth.
Harvest
The fruit was hand picked between 21st March to 1st April. The Cabernet Sauvignon yielded 4.9 t/Ha, & the other varieties averaged 3.4 t/Ha
Winemaking
Cold soaked for 5 days, pumped over for
extraction & pressed off after a further 10 to 30 days
Aging
18 months in French barriques of which half were new

A brilliant deep red in colour
